The company ALPIS, Algeria P&I Services, was set up by McLEANS, in August 2007, replacing AMCS which was created in 1996 following the UK Club’s request to Alan McLean for a new representation in Algeria. Thereafter Skuld and other P&I providers appointed ALPIS as their Correspondents.
As P&I Correspondents, ALPIS covers all the Algerian ports and provides a quality service to ship-owners operators thanks to a first class network with the best local surveyors and lawyers.
These surveyors and lawyers are closely monitored by a team of highly qualified claims handlers with very many over 30 years experience in shipping industry.
Due to its experience ALPIS can handle all claims and disputes concerning all types of vessels, in particular oil/ gas tankers and bulk carriers. These specialists also handle hull & machinery, cargo, goods in transit claims.
ALPIS is permanently improving its services and guarantees to respond immediately to any request from its clients, P&I Clubs, Marine Insurers and their insured.
